Senior Research Ecosystem Manager (Austin)

Do you have the ability to act as a bridge between these two communities, and to identify new opportunities in support of fast-moving technology horizons?Arm is seeking a Senior Manager, Research Ecosystem to support and expand a program of external research engagements with the north American academic community, aligned with Arm’s technology development objectives.Reporting to the Director of Research Ecosystem, the role includes working with multiple groups inside Arm to identify where academic contributions could positively impact technology roadmaps, and using this information to facilitate conversations with university researchers and US Government funding agencies.Responsibilities:Maintain and co-ordinate Arm’s existing portfolio of university relationships across north AmericaIdentify and engage with relevant opportunities for Arm under US Government funding initiatives, and work with internal and external partners to progress theseMonitor and track relationships and engagements, and ensure appropriate legal and related agreements are in placeWork closely with Arm’s Government Affairs and Workforce Development teams when particular policy or workforce development initiatives are relevant to academic researchersServe as Arm’s primary contact for the north American academic community, to handle enquiries and requests for informationRequired Skills and Experience :An understanding of the north American university sectorExperience of building and supporting partnerships involving multiple partnersAbility to work independently, but also comfortable as part of a small remote teamAbility to quickly grasp detailed technical concepts, and to explain these to a non-expert audienceCapable of balancing the requirements of multiple projects and/or activities concurrently“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :A degree or relevant experience in a technical fieldExperience of project tracking and monitoringEvidence of tailoring communications and presentations to different audiencesIn Return :Arm is dedicated to encouraging a workplace of mutual respect that ensures equal opportunities for every applicant and colleague.
