Full-Time Service Shop Porter

Our Service Shop Porter is the backbone of our technician team. This position is dedicated to the Service Shop Areas and is responsible for janitorial duties, such as keeping our service department clean, organized, and safe so our technicians can stay focused on repairing vehicles.

This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position that requires continuous movement throughout the day. If you enjoy staying active, take pride in hard work, and like seeing the results of your efforts, you'll be a great fit to our team.

Physical Requirements

This is a full-time, hands-on position that requires continuous movement throughout your shift. You'll spend your day walking, standing, bending, squatting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying while working in an active automotive shop environment with multiple employees and customers.

You'll work around oil, grease, automotive fluids, cleaning products, loud equipment, and varying temperatures. This is not a desk job—it's an essential role that helps keep our technicians and staff productive and our shop operating safely and efficiently.

Porter Responsibilities & What You'll Do:

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the technician work areas, service bays, and shop floors.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning of oil, grease, coolant, transmission fluid, and other automotive spills to maintain a safe working environment.
• Scrub and maintain shop floors using floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Empty trash, recycling, and shop waste throughout the day.
• Organize and dispose of cardboard, scrap metal, used tires, and other shop materials.
• Clean and restock employee and customer restrooms.
• Keep walkways, driveways, and exterior shop areas clean, including snow and ice removal during winter weather.
• Move customer and dealership vehicles safely between the service drive, technician bays, and parking areas.
• Assist technicians and management with shop support duties as needed.

Porter Qualifications & What We're Looking For:

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Someone who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in a clean, organized workspace.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Ability to walk, squat, lift, bend, twist and be on your feet the entire shift.
