Job Description HJF is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide administrative and programmatic support to the Suicide CPR Initiative program under the direction of a supervisor. Coordinates budget and accounting, space management, personnel management, overall management, contracts, and purchasing. Completes more routine tasks independently and relies on guidance from higher Program Manager (PM) levels for more complex tasks. This position is located in Bethesda, MD. This position will be in support of the Suicide CPR Initiative program led by Dr. Marjan Holloway, a clinical psychologist and intervention scientist whose research focuses on developing and empirically evaluating innovative interventions to reduce suicide risk. The Initiative is uniquely positioned to address the critical issue of military suicide through its longstanding affiliation with the Uniformed Services University Health Sciences (USUHS), as well as its strong partnerships with the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and national and international collaborators. The Program Coordinator will support the Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research (SCPR) Initiative in the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) Department within the Uniformed Services University (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. This position is located at the Suicide CPR Initiative Office in Bethesda, Maryland (HJF Headquarters Building) and the incumbent will be expected to work on-site 4 days per week. The mission of the Suicide CPR Initiative is threefold: CARE: Develop and evaluate evidence‑based interventions to reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviors. PREVENTION: Save lives through education, intervention, scientific research, and advocacy. RESEARCH: Advance the science and practice of suicide prevention and intervention to improve outcomes for service members, veterans, and other at‑risk populations. The Henry M. Responsibilities Assists with the administrative and programmatic coordination of multiple federally funded research projects, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and project documentation. Assists with the coordination of research operations, including personnel onboarding and offboarding, purchasing, consultant agreements, travel, meeting logistics, effort tracking, and maintenance of project documentation to support efficient program execution. Monitors project milestones, reporting deadlines, and regulatory requirements; prepares status updates and assists with the timely submission of progress reports, grant documents, and other sponsor‑required materials under the direction of the supervisor. Provides administrative support under the direction of a supervisor such as hiring, purchasing, and tracking progress. Serves as a liaison between investigators, research staff, institutional offices, subcontractors, and external collaborators by facilitating communication, scheduling meetings, documenting action items, and following up on outstanding tasks. Assists with budget administration by tracking expenditures, monitoring cost center activity, reconciling project expenses, processing invoices and purchase requests, and supporting financial forecasting and reporting. Maintains organized project records, databases, and tracking systems; assists with collecting and compiling information for grant applications, presentations, publications, publication clearances, audits, and other programmatic activities while ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Assists with regulatory and compliance activities by maintaining regulatory documentation, tracking Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and approvals, monitoring required training and certifications and coordinating study documentation. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 0 - 2 years experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of organizational objectives, the federal budget process, office automation. Ability to work completely independently, use sound judgement in solving problems. Knowledge of project management principles, and good communications skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check. Work Environment This position will take place primarily in an office setting with a schedule of 4 days per week on site. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $52,800 - $55,000.
