ResponsibilitiesGlobal Banking and Advisory (GLBA) combines wholesale coverage with world-class product financing and advisory expertise within one team. Within GLBA, the Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team is looking to hire an Associate within the Financial Assets and Insurance (“FAI”) vertical.GLBA Overview: We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex, and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.CPM Overview: We manage the assets held across GLBA. CPM has three verticals: (i) corporates (investment grade and non-investment grade) or “COR”, (ii) real assets (real estate, energy, infrastructure, etc) or “RAI”; and (iii) Financial Assets and Insurance (capital call facilities, middle market lending, etc.) or “FAI”. CPM actively manages the portfolio of GLBA to maximize profitability and contribute to investment banking idea generation across M&A, ECM and Leveraged Finance for new transactions. We approve all transactions that enter the portfolio and actively work with investors to support the distribution of the portfolio across asset classes. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate will work within the FAI vertical in CPM to support the Portfolio Managers with new deal analysis, portfolio management and portfolio distribution strategic initiatives and strategies.In the particular the Associate within the FAI vertical in CPM will be covering Middle Market Loan (“MML”) otherwise as private credit transactions, Business Development Companies (“BDCs”) and Private Debt Initiatives for Energy and Infra (“NAT/PDI”).In coordination with senior members of the team. the Associate will be in charge of portfolio monitoring and ongoing analysis of the aforementioned transactions.In addition to the usual responsibilities expected of an associate in GLBA, the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:For new transactions, attend Pre-Screening Committees and Commercial Banking (“CBA”) committees where early-stage transactions are presented for agreement to proceed, prepare CPM opinion reviewing the credit risk, regulatory capital treatment, profitability, liquidity analysis of the transaction.In coordination with management, assume ownership of covered portfolio, including main portfolio KPIs (such as commitments, RWA, NBI and ECL).Prepare and present quarterly and annual review of the transactions and the portfolio, in the context of the quarterly mandatory reporting, the annual RiskCo and Credit Risk Committee where respectively financing limits and guidelines are being discussed.Review and analyze VAE / Valuations events related to the portfolio; review fair value of underlying collateral.Manage collateral control reports and other remediation actions (including onboarding in the collateral monitoring tool).Prepare and present memos for credit agreement amendments.Coordinate with internal partners on transactions within CPM and within coverage, structuring, distribution and the Credit Risk department, in particular for secondary distribution via sales, insurance and SRT solution.Attend industry meetings and engage with clients on portfolio management questions alongside the coverage teams, prepare diligence requests and lender questions.Contribute to enhanced reporting for the covered asset class, including definition and monitoring of early warning indicators, aggregation and consolidation of MML collateral. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED: At least 3 years of Investment Banking experience, preferably in fund finance, financing of direct lenders, private debt, and / or leveraged lending and LBOs. Relevant experience in fund finance, private equity, private debt financing or LBOs;Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts;Formal credit training and experience conducting credit analysis;Sound interpersonal skills and ability to work well in diverse teams (by business lines, geography and profiles) and under tight deadlines;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail;Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AI solutions;SIE, Series 7/79 and Series 63 certifications.
