Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support automated assembly systems in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role will focus on troubleshooting, maintaining, programming, and optimizing automation equipment, including robots, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, and HMI issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems with robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic components.
- Program and troubleshoot industrial robots such as Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, or Wittmann .
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Modify PLC/HMI programs and troubleshoot I/O and communication issues.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and production line changes.
- Maintain automation documentation and equipment records.
- Support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
- 2 5 years of experience in automation, robotics, controls, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work either day or night shift , including the 6:00 PM 6:00 AM shift.
