Hi-Lawn is one of DC's biggest rooftops, situated atop the historic Union Market building. In the summer, it offers a lawn, city views, lawn games, live music, and a retro, come-as-you-are vibe. For the holiday season, we're home to The Dome, a 50-foot heated dome with 360° projected art overhead. Each winter it becomes Snowglow, and this year we're turning the whole roof into the Snowglow Alpine Hotel: think a 1970s European mountain lodge, classic hotel-bar cocktails, and plenty of cozy après-ski energy. We're part of Blagden Hospitality, the group behind Tiger Fork, Calico, The Royal, and Lulu's Winegarden. About the Team
We're a tight, hardworking crew that enjoys working together. Our chefs and bar team build menus from scratch every season, our creative team transforms the space a few times a year, and our floor staff are the reason guests keep coming back. We look out for each other, keep it real, and no one is above helping out. You'll be part of a team that throws some of the most memorable parties in DC—from night markets to a snow globe on a roof to NYE parties—alongside people who care about doing things right. We are looking for professionals to join the team in the kitchen, providing high-end hospitality for guests while they enjoy this awe-inspiring experience. As a Lead Line Cook, you will assist with leading the culinary operations, ensuring a seamless kitchen workflow, enforcing health and safety standards, and fostering an inspiring team environment. You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef/GM to uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and execution in a fast-paced, upscale setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen and be able to handle rigors of busy services while also maintaining quality and consistency of dishes
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Support other areas of the kitchen as needed, and be able and willing to assist teammates in the restaurant as needed, including handling duties of other stations
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized workstation during each shift, while observing internal and regulatory (health, fire department, etc.) guidelines at all times
- Prepare station for service (setup, food prep)
- Overseeing that line cooks prep, clean, and stock stations pre- and post-service
- Proper maintenance of wok
- Minimize waste of product
- Rotates product according to “First In, First Out”
- Clean work area, equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Assist in training new personnel in proper procedures and guidelines
- At least 2 years of relevant restaurant experience preferred
- Genuine passion for cooking, restaurant hospitality, and learning new skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills
- Highly organized, productive, and able to work meticulously in a high-intensity kitchen/work environment
- Energetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and support colleagues regardless of role
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat and reach shoulder level
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to hot temperatures
- Must be able to life/carry up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time
