Loss Control Field Inspector

Commercial Loss Control Consultant – Independent Contractor We are looking for experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to become approved vendors. As an approved vendor, you will be contracted to conduct insurance loss control inspections and consultative visits in your coverage area. Appointments are scheduled at mutual convenience of the inspector and property contact. Orders are sent and completed reports are returned through a cloud‑based system. This contract‑based work is paid per inspection for a pre‑set fee, with weekly payments upon satisfactory completion. Vendors work independently, must have their own equipment (computer, digital camera, scanner, cell phone, etc.), reliable transportation, and be available for calls. Your responsibilities include conducting interviews, surveying or inspecting premises, identifying hazards and controls, taking digital photographs, recommending risk improvements, measuring buildings, calculating square footage, and producing accurate reports. All vendors must provide a current resume and submit to a background check, which includes a criminal records check and may include a drug screen. Bilingual is a plus. Vendor Qualifications At least three years’ experience completing property and/or casualty lines insurance loss control surveys and reports. Thorough understanding of general liability and property lines of coverage. Preferred general knowledge of commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and inland marine lines of coverage. Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision. Own a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and high‑speed internet access. Detail oriented, well organized, with a flexible schedule. Reliable car capable of covering a wide territory on an as‑needed basis. Digital camera, high‑speed internet access, excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, and a measuring wheel or similar device. Responsibilities Set site inspection appointments with insureds or agents via email and/or phone calls. Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier. Take clear digital photos of properties. Identify and document hazards or controls at the property. Conduct on‑site management interviews regarding the property, as required. Upload reports and photos through the cloud‑based system by the specified deadline. Become familiar with client‑specific guidelines. Communicate as needed with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds. Provide high‑quality, professional services.
