About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Registered Profession: Tech Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 months Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred License: State Licensure required Certifications: One of the following primary modality certifications is required: Radiography (R) by ARRT, Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB, Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB is required. CT required upon hire in the state of New Mexico. BLS certification via AHA required. Must-Have: - Flexibility to work other shifts and locations as needed. - Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. - Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure. Description: The CT Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. The technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. They must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance and participate in QA. The technologist will resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. They are expected to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The CT Technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. They must demonstrate adherence to core values. The technologist will maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies. The CT Technologist will promote exceptional physician satisfaction by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians. All duties must protect patient confidentiality and not solicit or disclose confidential information unless necessary. They will appropriately adapt assessments, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient. The technologist will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care. They will perform examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within their licensed scope. The CT Technologist will ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly. They must follow downtime procedures and escalate issues as needed. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
