Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under supervision to provide basic nursing assistance and help residents with daily living activities. Education High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Licenses / Certification Valid CNA certification in the state of employment. Experience Six months of experience in a long‑term care environment (preferred). Job Functions Respond to signal lights and bells to determine resident needs. Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care. Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding. Assist residents with range of motion exercises and movement to wheelchair or activity areas. Assist residents with turning and positioning in bed. Assist residents with ambulation for short distances within the facility. Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output, as directed. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
