Maintenance Mechanic

Position Information Title: Maintenance Mechanic Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8am‑5pm; some evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Perform plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical and household appliance repair and preventative maintenance services to keep residence halls in good repair. Complete assigned work orders and process information through the online work order system. Oversee and train student maintenance staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; or demonstration of necessary competencies. Experience at or near journeyman level in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry trades. Working knowledge of methods, practices and materials used in general maintenance and repair of residential buildings. Ability to operate machine shop equipment, follow oral and written instructions, and perform physical tasks for an extended period of time. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Preferred Progressing experience at or near journeyman level in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry trades.
