Working for GFL is more than a job — it's an opportunity to grow in your career, make new friends, and make a difference each day.Key Responsibilities:Assist RVP/AVP and Branch management in developing market plans for their service areasEnsure successful implementation, profitability and customer satisfaction on all contractsCoordinate government contract marketing efforts with disposal and acquisition strategiesMaintain accurate, up to date database reporting relating to annual revenue, profit margins, price increase percentages, etc.Identify contract expiration dates and work with regional and branch management to ensure a strategy for retentionAssist with cost analysis, negotiations with government officials, and development of contract language and public presentationsMaintain government contracts prospect and privatization listsWork closely with mergers and acquisitions team to identify potential acquisitions to tie in with current and prospective government contract customersIdentify, manage and coordinate the logistics of annual governmental conferences to insure maximum company participation and exposureProvide weekly and monthly updates to the Director of Sales and MarketingAssist the landfill division and other disposal development projects as neededConform in all respects with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisorsPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by managementKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:BS or BA degree5+ years of work experience in sales and marketingPrior experience in the waste industry with experience relating to government contractsPossess high energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitudeExcellent communication and public speaking skills
