Customer Service Representative

Preferred Septic & Disposal has an immediate opening for an experienced Customer Service Representative to support our operations in Bishop, California.

This is a Monday - Friday in-office position working 7:30AM - 4:30PM.

Starting pay will be $25/hour. The pay range for this job category is $25-25.50/hour. We offer regular wage increases, great family benefits, stable hours, 401k matching and more!

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Politely greets customers in person and over the telephone and communicates concise and accurate information regarding services options, charges, billing, and contracts.
• Listens for and identifies opportunities to cross sell additional products and services.
• Confirms understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests.
• Establishes customer accounts and enters service type, pricing, billing, and other required information into the computer.
• Updates customer data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responds to customers' complaints and takes necessary actions resolve their issues including communicating with other department managers, dispatchers, and drivers.
• Directs more complex customer complaint issues to the Office Manager.
• Performs other administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Informs drivers of any route changes/issues.
• Maintains an organized work area.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, and at times loud, environment.
• Must be able to multi-task, while helping customers on the phone, and in person.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail, proficient in 10 key, keyboarding and typing skills a must
• Solid Waste Industry Experience and or related field is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communications skills.
