GENERAL JOB INFORMATION
Job Title: Receiving
Department: Logistics
Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
NATURE OF THE JOB
Receive, verify, classify, organize, label, and store merchandise, and enter data into the system ensuring accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive merchandise delivered by external carriers at our Warehouse.
- Verify that the merchandise is in good condition and that the delivery document matches the quantity of merchandise delivered.
- Retrieve receiving documents (packing list, invoice, tracking number), locate the purchase order (PO) number, and staple them together in the established order.
- Verify the merchandise by opening each box and ensuring the following match the documents: catalog number, lot, expiration date, and quantity.
- Create, print, and affix labels to products that do not have their own identification.
- Place merchandise in the corresponding area as indicated by the documentation.
- Enter the received merchandise data into the system.
- Move materials from one location to another.
- Sort and arrange merchandise on shelves, compartments, and racks in the pre-established order or sequence.
- Operate the forklift and/or hand truck in full and consistent compliance with applicable safety measures.
- Take physical inventory with the requested frequency and using the established method.
- Keep the assigned area clean, tidy, and organized.
- Wear the hard hat, safety shoes, and reflective harness at all times while on the physical premises of the Warehouse.
- Actively contribute to upholding the company's mission and achieving its vision; and exemplify through performance and conduct the efficiency culture philosophy, Bionuclear's values, and the principles of the highest quality internal and external customer service.
INCIDENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow manufacturer guidelines regarding temperature and material handling.
- Dispatch merchandise by expiration date, ensuring that items received first are dispatched first, following the FIFO (first in, first out) method.
- Pack merchandise for customers when they pick up orders.
- Identify, label, and/or tag merchandise as required.
- Collaborate with the returned products process (RMA) as trained and requested.
- Notify the corresponding personnel in the Telemarketing and Customer Service department of discrepancies between invoice contents and available merchandise.
- Ensure that no employee, customer, or visitor accesses the Warehouse without the appropriate hard hat or safety equipment.
- Keep the Supervisor informed of unexpected situations as well as the status of assigned tasks.
- Support Dispatch and/or Carrier functions as required.
- Other tasks as necessary.
ACADEMIC PREPARATION
High school diploma or equivalent (12th grade).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Minimum one year of experience in warehouse functions.
- Experience operating forklift equipment and hand truck.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class 3 driver's license and clean driving record.

NATURALEZA DEL PUESTO
Recibir, verificar, clasificar, organizar, etiquetar y acomodar mercancía y entrar los datos en el sistema asegurando exactitud.
DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES ESENCIALES DEL PUESTO
- Recibir la mercancía entregada por carreros externos en nuestro Almacén.
- Verificar que la mercancía esté en buen estado y el documento de entrega coincida con la cantidad de la mercancía entregada.
- Buscar los documentos de recibo ("packing list", factura o "invoice", número de guía) y localizar el número de la orden de compra (PO) y graparlos juntos en el orden establecido.
- Verificar la mercancía abriendo cada caja y asegurando que lo siguiente concuerde con los documentos: Número de catálogo, lote, fecha de expiración y cantidad.
- Crear, imprimir y pegar la etiqueta a los productos que no tengan identificación propia.
- Ubicar la mercancía en el área correspondiente según provista por la documentación.
- Ingresar los datos de la mercancía recibida al sistema.
- Mover materiales de un lugar a otro.
- Ordenar y acomodar mercancía en los estantes, compartimientos y tablillas según el orden o secuencia preestablecido.
- Manejar el montacargas y/o el "hand truck" en cumplimiento cabal y consistente de las medidas de seguridad aplicables.
- Tomar inventario físico con la frecuencia solicitada y el método establecido.
- Mantener el área asignada limpia, recogida y organizada.
- Llevar puestos el capacete, los zapatos de seguridad y el arnés reflectivo en todo momento mientras se encuentre en las instalaciones físicas del Almacén.
- Aportar activamente al mantenimiento de la misión y al logro de la visión de la compañía; y ejemplificar con su desempeño y conducta la filosofía de la cultura de eficiencia, los valores de Bionuclear y los principios de un servicio al cliente interno y externo de la más alta calidad.
DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES INCIDENTALES DEL PUESTO
- Seguir las guías del manufacturero en cuanto a temperatura y manejo de materiales.
- Despachar mercancía por fecha de expiración, asegurando que se despachen primero los artículos que se recibieron primero en el almacén, siguiendo el método FIFO ("first in", "first out").
- Empacar mercancía a los clientes cuando recogen.
- Identificar, rotular y/o etiquetar la mercancía según sea requerido.
- Colaborar con el proceso de los productos devueltos (RMA) según se le adiestre y solicite.
- Notificar al personal correspondiente en el departamento de Telemercadeo y Servicio al Cliente sobre diferencias entre el contenido de la factura y la mercancía disponible.
- Asegurar que ningún empleado, cliente o visitante acceda el Almacén sin el capacete o equipo de seguridad correspondiente.
- Mantener a su Supervisor(a) al tanto de situaciones fuera de lo esperado como de estatus de las tareas asignadas.
- Apoyar las funciones de Despacho y/o de Carrero según le sea requerido.
- Otras tareas, según sean necesarias.
PREPARACIÓN ACADÉMICA
Cuarto año de escuela superior.
EXPERIENCIA PROFESIONAL
- Experiencia mínima de un año en funciones de Almacén.
- Experiencia manejando equipo de montacargas y "hand truck".
REQUISITOS ADICIONALES
Licencia de conducir número 3 vigente y buen expediente de conductor(a).
