Process Operator II

Job Title

Pay Range: $22.00hr - $26.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must complete site specific safety training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow and read instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training for Carbon area.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly.
• Read and clearly follow required processes.
• Contribute to division results and performance.
• Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.
• Operate equipment specific to area such as bagging products, sampling, and testing.
• Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace.
• Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon.
• Calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, and run facility waste water treatment plant.
• Sort bottles by size and resin.
• Load and unload deliveries to and from regional branch.
• Operate forklift to move bottles and materials through plant and load/unload trucks.
• Evacuate bottles.

Nice To Have:

• Manufacturing or plant experience.
• Forklift driving experience.
• Knowledge of computers.

• Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
• Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds.
• Ability to climb and descend stairs.
• Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work in heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
• Ability to work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection.
• Ability to work on concrete surfaces.
• Ability to operate a computer.
