About the Position

A regional hospital in Paducah is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locum coverage. This role provides 24-hour on-call support for adult patients, performing both interventional cardiology and general cardiology responsibilities.

Shift & Schedule:

• 24-hour on-call shifts (7 am – 7 am), 3–7 days per month

• Weekend coverage required

Practice Details:

• Inpatient/EMTALA call coverage, no ambulatory clinic work

• Adult patient population

• EMR: Epic Cupid

• Team of 2 interventional cardiologists onsite

Procedures Required:

• Balloon angioplasties

• Coronary angioplasty

• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

• Heart catheterization & coronary angiograms

• General cardiology consults and reading EKGs, ECHOs, stress tests (including nuclear)

Requirements

• Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist – Required

• Active KY license & DEA – Required (IMLC considered if available 3–7 days/month)

• ACLS certification – Required

• Self-Query NPDB report within 30 days – Required

• COVID vaccine – preferred
