Manager, Dining Operations

About the Role Supervises service operations for food preparation and delivery to ensure resident enjoyment and satisfaction. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through implementation of services and creation of growth opportunities. Emphasizes safe and efficient food preparation and service delivery across multiple levels of care. Key Responsibilities Direct daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources. Supervise all dining room operations including table service, food bars, and buffet lines. Coordinate food preparation operations with the kitchen team and registered dietician. Manage inventory (food, equipment, dining room supplies) and monitor the budget by controlling costs and complying with budget requirements. Ensure dining room experience is clean, neat, fully stocked, and an excellent experience for customers. Maintain compliance with sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements. Train, coach, and mentor employees with a customer‑hospitality orientation. Establish and maintain operating and safety standards and implement process improvements. Oversee preparation, portioning, garnishing, presentation, and safe storage of food. Qualifications & Certifications High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. Food Safety Manager certification (renewed every 3 years or as required). CDM licensure required; company will sponsor the educational program to obtain a CDM license within the first 3 months of employment. Experience 2+ years of experience in dining operations; 3+ years of leadership experience preferred. Exposure to both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations desired. Skills & Abilities Ability to motivate and energize teams. Ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively. Effective interaction with staff and residents to positively influence retention and satisfaction. Assists in sourcing, interviewing, training, onboarding, and retaining staff. Builds a bench of qualified staff to minimize disruption of service related to staffing fluctuations. Compensation Pay range: $69,900.00 – $95,775.00 per year.
