Surgical Technologist PositionAndrews ASC is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. This role is essential to maintaining a sterile environment and supporting surgical procedures with precision and professionalism. The OR Scrub/Surgical Technologist utilizes surgical knowledge and training to provide accurate and efficient instrumentation in an aseptic environment under the supervision of a Charge Nurse/OR Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesFunction as a vital member of the surgical team, delivering high-quality careAnticipate surgeon needs and ensure availability of supplies, instruments, and equipmentMaintain strict aseptic technique and report/correct any breachesVerify patient identity and surgical site during "Time Out" proceduresOpen and transfer sterile supplies appropriately to the sterile fieldDemonstrate competency in scrubbing across all surgical specialtiesOperate and manage OR equipment safely and effectivelyDecontaminate instruments and equipment post-procedure using proper PPEAssist with room turnover to maintain surgical schedule efficiencyRestock supplies and maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspacesParticipate in mandatory annual education and facility in-servicesServe on committees or task forces as requestedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBLS certification requiredSurgical Technician certification preferredStrong reasoning, judgment, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesDetail-oriented with a commitment to safety and accuracyComputer literacy and documentation skillsWillingness to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environmentWorking ConditionsIndoor clinical setting with stable temperatureExposure to noise, vibrations, and occasional contact with liquidsPotential hazards include:Bloodborne pathogensCommunicable diseasesLimited chemical exposureFumes, vapors, mists, and water contactBENEFITS:Health Insurance with FREE Teladoc servicesDental, Vision, & Supplemental Insurance401 (k)Paid Time OffLocation: Andrews Ambulatory Surgery Center – Gulf Breeze, FLDepartment: Surgical ServicesReports To: Charge Nurse / Nurse ManagerEmployment Type: Full-TimeANDREWS IS A TOBACCO FREE WORKPLACEThe Andrews Institute ASC (AIASC) is committed to promoting health, wellness, and disease prevention and to providing a safe, clean and healthy environment to Workforce Members, patients, and visitors.
