Clamp Truck Operator

Express Employment Baltimore is looking for an experienced Clamp Truck Operator in the East Baltimore area. The Clamp Truck Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a clamp truck forklift to load, unload, move, and stage products from rail cars, trailers, warehouses, and storage areas. The operator ensures products are handled without damage while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a clamp truck forklift to load and unload rail cars, trucks, and storage areas. Inspect rail cars before loading and unloading to ensure safe working conditions. Secure and position products according to loading specifications and company procedures. Transport materials between warehouse, production, and shipping areas. Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issues. Verify product counts, shipment paperwork, and inventory records. Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage. Follow rail car loading patterns and weight distribution requirements. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Comply with all OSHA, company, and railroad safety regulations. Assist with inventory counts and warehouse operations as needed. Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous clamp truck forklift experience. Experience loading and unloading rail cars preferred. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Ability to read shipping documents and work orders. Basic math and inventory skills. Valid Driver's License Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to work in warehouse, outdoor, and rail yard environments. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Safe forklift and clamp truck operation.
