Registered Nurse, PreOp/PACU (Centralia - Full-time) Centralia, WA, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 1274 Salary Range: $42.40 To $71.52 Hourly Registered Nurse, Pre-Operative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit – Olympia Orthopaedic Associates Location: Centralia Surgery Center Job Type: Full-time Schedule: The surgery center is primarily open Monday-Friday, but occasional Saturdays may be worked. The Pre-Op/PACU team rotates on-call, and some overnight shifts may be required depending on patient needs and recovery time. Pay: $42.40 - $71.52 per hour (Pay is determined based on years of experience) Summary of benefits: OOA covers part or all of the cost for Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability Insurance. Registered Nurse Job Duties: Pre-Operative – Administering care to patients prior to surgery. Administer pre‑surgery medication under the guidance of the physician and/or physician assistant. Evaluate and access admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and adhere to necessary pre‑operation policies and procedures. PACU – Monitors (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate) Treating symptoms of postoperative nausea and vomiting Managing post‑operative pain Treating post‑anesthetic shivering Monitoring surgical site(s) for excessive bleeding, discharge, swelling, hematoma, redness, etc. Registered Nurse Job Requirements: IV Therapy experience (starting, discontinuing IVs, and administering medication). Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing program. Current Registered Nurse in the State of Washington required. Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
