APPLICATION ANALYST - Bronx, NY

Responsibilities:
• Develop knowledge of laboratory workflows and processes. Assess existing workflows and implication as they pertain to the LIS
• Fully and thoroughly document existing and future workflows
• Build necessary database tables, as well as any other application build required for the system's effective operations
• Develop new LIS expertise required for understanding new product and impact knowledge with team and end users
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, etc.
• Assist with end user training. Provide ongoing support
• Interact with Montefiore IT team to ensure highest quality product and efficiently running LIS
• Work with other departments on projects and initiatives that support he goals of the department
• Perform analysis as required by leadership

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or closely related required
• Minimum of 1 Year of work experience required
• Clinical lab background is also preferred but not required
• Excellent data analysis skills are required as is the handling of spreadsheets, pivot tables.
• Excellent written, oral communication, documentation and organizational skills required
• Be able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment; multi-task effectively, be a motivated and quick learner

This position is located in the Moses campus in Pathology Administration. The hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
