Environmental Services Team Member

Performs a variety of duties using various equipment and supplies to maintain established cleanliness and meet acceptable department standards of environmental areas. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures related to cleaning and operations to ensure a safe and clean environment in all areas.
• Performs various trash removal duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
• Operates electric tow tractors and scooters ensuring safe operation at all times.
• Teamwork and Leadership: Works towards team objectives to provide quality service throughout the hospital and initiates activities and behaviors in support of YNHH's mission and values.
• Problem solving: Demonstrates critical thinking necessary to problem solving.
• Performs various project floor care duties to improve appearance of floors.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Six months demonstrated customer service related work experience required. Must successfully complete a training program provided by the Environmental Services Department and achieve competence in all duties.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent Customer Service and communication skills. Ability to read, write and perform basic math. Ability to work independently. Able to perform as part of the patient care team. Detail beyond this may be put in the Responsibilities section since it may vary by position.
