Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space. Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.Basic QualificationsBS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree3+ years of professional experience in a relevant fieldFoundational mathematics capabilities that include linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and state estimation techniquesExperience with different simulation and test environments (6-DOF IFS, HWIL, flight test experience, etc.)Proficiency in SW development environments like Git using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or AdaExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environmentUS Citizenship and an ability to attain Secret Clearance is requiredDesired SkillsExperience with real time simulations and hardware in the loop testingExperience with total system performance analysis and verification of total system requirementsExperience with rigorous root cause analysis and failure investigationsMS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree and 1+ years of relevant experienceExperience using a Linux-based operating systemFamiliarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics and rotating coordinate systemsExperience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)Prior experience supporting flight testsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
