Job Title: Patient Service Representative
Location: New Orleans, LA (70131)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM | Friday, 7:30 AM–2:00 PM (No weekends, no overtime)
About the Role
We're looking for a dependable, patient-focused Patient Service Representative to join our clinic team in New Orleans. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, giving both you and the team a chance to ensure it's the right fit before transitioning to a permanent role. You'll be the first friendly face patients see and the first helpful voice they hear on the phone — playing a key role in making sure every visit runs smoothly. You'll work closely with a supportive care team that includes four Medical Assistants, two medical providers, and a Nurse Practitioner.
What You'll Do
Greet and check patients in and out
Schedule patient appointments
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records
Collect patient payments
Deliver excellent customer service to every patient
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with clinic policies
Coordinate with medical staff to keep the clinic running efficiently
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of experience in a medical office setting
Experience with patient access/patient scheduling strongly preferred
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass a TB screening
No professional license required
