Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking to add a Senior Geologist to our Raleigh, NC office. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin immediately.The role will be responsible for the overall management of projects and assist in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. Our department is involved in many on-going efforts and continues to utilize top talent to exceed performance expectations. The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:Project and task management, client interaction, proposal writing, and cost estimating under the supervision of senior project management staff.Work collaboratively with the NC/SC Environment Remediation Practice Area Manager and other teams within the Environment Business Line and Remediation Practice, and professionals within other AECOM business lines.Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet client needs on schedule and within budget.Proficient use of GIS, CAD, or similar, to generate geologic cross-sections, potentiometric maps, or other figures.Work independently or with minimal direction to prepare draft technical documents.Mentor junior staff on proper completion of field tasks (boring logs, vapor sampling, groundwater sampling, etc.) and office tasks.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS in Geology or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationProfessional Geologist (PG) Licensure, certifications, and/or accreditationsValid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records ReviewDue to the nature of this work, United States citizenship is a requirementCurrent OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Waste Operations Training and RefreshersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree in Geology or related field7+ years of experience performing and leading site investigations that includes soil/groundwater/vapor sampling, soil boring/monitoring well installations with various drilling techniques (i.e., DPT, HSA, sonic, air rotary, mud-rotary, etc.), analytical data interpretation and reporting.Understanding of remediation consulting completing environmental investigations and site remediationProject Management experienceStrong background in technical writing (remedial investigation reports, corrective action studies, etc.)Experience with various remediation technologies; vapor mitigation systems, AS/SVE systems, pump and treat systems, chemical injections, soil blending, thermal remediation, bio-sparge, etc.Experience with groundwater modeling and numeric computing programsCurrent OSHA 30-Hr Construction TrainingExperience with programs and/or PFAS investigationsFamiliarity with State (i.e., NCDEQ, etc.) and Federal Environmental RegulationsAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
