Coupa API Developer

Role Description

We are looking for a Coupa API Developer to design, develop, and maintain integrations between Coupa BSM (Business Spend Management) and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role focuses on:

• Coupa Integration Cloud
• API-based integrations
• Supplier onboarding flows
• Data synchronization between Coupa and ERP, finance, HR, and payment systems

The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful Coupa integrations in production, understands the source-to-pay process end-to-end, and applies disciplined integration engineering practices. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. You will be expected to raise the bar through:

• Code review
• Design review
• Mentorship of more junior engineers

The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Five or more years of integration engineering experience
• Hands-on experience integrating Coupa with enterprise systems
• Strong understanding of Coupa Integration Cloud and Coupa Open APIs
• Experience with at least one major iPaaS such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Workato
• Strong understanding of source-to-pay and procure-to-pay processes
• Solid SQL and data transformation skills
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, and integration security
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Requirements

• Coupa certifications (preferred)
• Experience integrating Coupa with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems (preferred)
• Familiarity with Coupa Pay, Coupa Risk Assess, or Coupa Treasury (preferred)
• Exposure to supplier-network integrations (preferred)
• Experience supporting global BSM rollouts (preferred)
