Position Summary The Engineering Co-Op is responsible for working with engineers to help them with design and manufacturing improvement projects. They will provide technical assistance and support in the performance of all functions of the Engineering Department under the direction of the Engineering Manager. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Mechanical and Electro/Mechanical. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Participate in tests, troubleshooting, and most engineering areas as required by supervisor. Investigate opportunities to increase production throughput. Document existing and new engineering and manufacturing processes. Conduct verification and validation testing by collecting several types of data under the direction of the appropriate product engineer. Compile test data and compose test reports. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or may be necessary to maintain flow of work. Evaluate manufacturing assembly, testing, and packaging activities relative to product lines. Support the development and documentation of standard procedures, design standardization, and engineering change notices. Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. Participate in cross functional teams, failure investigations and corrective action/preventive actions. Secondary Responsibilities Provide engineering solutions for other departments as required and resolve problems with components and products with only limited supervision. Assist other departments as necessary by providing either CAD, mechanical drafting or free-hand artwork for internal company use. #J-18808-Ljbffr Electroswitch
