Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Asheville, NC is a part‑time position. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as education, and more. Position Details Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour Saturday: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM Sunday: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and campus activity, assisting with visitor screening, entry control, and directions while following location protocols. Support a positive learning environment by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security‑related issues observed during patrols and assigned duties. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
