Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for cleaning production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces while supporting overall plant safety and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, conference rooms, and common areas.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.

• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.

• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.

• Restock restroom and janitorial supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness in production and warehouse areas to support safe operations.

• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.

• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.

• Follow company safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility upkeep as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or general labor experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, walking, and standing.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety practices preferred.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment.

• Frequent walking, standing, lifting, and repetitive cleaning activities.

• Exposure to dust, noise, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.

• Fast-paced environment requiring attention to safety and housekeeping standards.

Additional Information

• Monday - Friday / 10:30am - 7pm or 11am - 7:30pm

• We are flexible!

• $17.50/hr and after 90 days will go to $19.50/hr

• May include a premium based on shift hours!

• Weekly pay + full benefits (medical/dental/vision)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milan, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
