Night Auditor

Description The Holiday Inn Express of West Long Branch is seeking candidates for the position of Night Auditor to join our award-winning team. The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing all front desk activities overnight and must maintain a high level of integrity. The Night Auditor also reconciles all bookkeeping and financial records as well as checking guests in/out and answering any questions from guests. PLEASE NOTE the Night Audit position is an overnight shift, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. We ask that you do not apply for the position if you are not able to commit to the required shift. Responsibilities & Duties Perform end-of-day accounting tasks such as reconciling credit card transactions, occupancy percentages, room charges, cash drawer activity, etc. Check in guests, take reservations, and respond to guests’ questions. Handle items related to the lost and found according to company standards. Track room availability and occupancy. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Attend monthly department meetings and training sessions as necessary. Knowledge of all essential aspects of hotel operations/procedures. Compensation and Benefits include: This position offers a starting rate that ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Requirements Job Qualifications & Skills Superb written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities. Judgment and decision making. Strong knowledge of MS office programs. Experience with Opera is a plus. Mathematics and reading comprehension. Strong attention to detail. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
