Overview The Field Service Technician II provides face-to-face customer service at an off-site location and is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning various light and heavy industrial equipment. The incumbent is expected to model practices daily: 1) align with the company's mission and core values; 2) collaborate with internal/external resources; 3) participate in ongoing self-development. Location and Position Details Department: Holt Industrial Rentals (HIR) Employment Type: Full Time Location: HIR - Sunnyvale Address: 353 Long Creek, Sunnyvale, Texas, 75182 Workplace type: Onsite Essential Functions Models, promotes, reinforces, and reinforces the use of HOLT\'s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with Vision, Values, and Mission Works safely at all times and adheres to safety policies; complies with company policies, procedures, and standards Performs intermediate repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting, diagnoses equipment malfunctions, and conducts failure analysis Removes and installs parts; disassembles and assembles components to CAT specifications Tests, makes adjustments, and verifies proper operation of repairs and adjustments Prepares and completes all job-related documents, writes service reports, orders parts, maintains customer records; accesses required databases Acts as a team leader and mentors/coaches others Participates in the quotation of work orders Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates Maintains service vehicle inspection records, daily inspections, and driver logs as required by the Department of Transportation Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, clean, working order Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed Completes assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat-rate time and re-work standards * Works overtime as required by workload and customer needs Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training in a timely and proficient manner Projects professionalism with internal and external customers, including personal appearance; may mentor lower-level Technicians

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices Knowledge of equipment and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, engines, undercarriage, and electrical Proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems Exceptional customer service skills Intermediate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently Operation and control skills of equipment or systems Equipment selection skills to determine tools and equipment needed for a job Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing Ability to operate a crane and forklift, with required certifications/licenses Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair Fine motor coordination to manipulate small objects Requirements Education and Experience: More than three years of industrial equipment experience required; five or more years preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred MSHA certification preferred Air conditioning certification preferred Crane/Rigger certifications preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: None Travel: Travel required with a possibility of an overnight stay Additional Requirements: Valid driver\'s license required; ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL) and maintain an acceptable driving record; must own required tools to perform repairs Physical Requirements Must be able to move objects and use core muscles to provide support over time Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 80 lb Constant movement and use of limbs; good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina Ascends/descends ladders and climbs equipment as needed Be able to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment Routinely reacts to signals and visually inspects work Work Environment Requires wearing common protective equipment Regularly works outdoors around moving parts; noise may be loud May be exposed to weather extremes and conditions including inclement weather Exposure to chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment Work in cramped spaces and/or high places as required Disclaimer Please note that the above statements describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.
