The Position Under the direction of the Foreman, we seek a Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher responsible for safely assisting in the placement of concrete and final finishing of concrete surfaces, and performing other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include: Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the poured concrete is level. Fill roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, and parking lots. Arrange concrete forms and prepare surfaces. Level surfaces using special blades, smoothing lumps and bubbles. Use wood or plastic forms to shape concrete and hold it until set. Smooth high spots and fill depressions. Create concrete beams, columns, and panels. Finish corners by hand. Use vibrating machines to fill air pockets. Know and use crane hand signals safely. Requirements Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record. Class A CDL strongly desired. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Prior construction experience preferred. Punctual and dependable. Able to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends. Tolerate variable weather and dirty, dusty environments; able to crawl in close quarters to remove concrete forms. Member of a local Cement Masons Union, or willingness to become a member.
