This position is PRN (as the situation requires) and hours available may vary.PRN Infusion Nurse (RN) Benefits:Competitive W2 pay starting at $28.00 - $50.00 per hourWeekly payFlexible schedule to fit your lifestyleAll Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided at no costMileage reimbursement where applicableHome Health or Facility shifts availableMobile technology to access schedule and case documentationExclusive BrightStar Care Employee Discount ProgramsResponsibilities:Provide care for infusion patients according to plan of careWork autonomously in caring for patients and their safety during medication IV infusion.Observe, assess, and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress and communicate this to relevant team and family membersAdminister treatments and perform therapeutic proceduresCare for peripheral and central linesFollow sterile procedure while insertion on IV catheters, and wound care and PICC line careUse IV insertion experience and technique, PICC line and Port-A-Cath access and care, and sterile dressing changes with some wound care involvement.Some wound careResponsible for evaluating, verifying, and preparing medicationsCoordinate patient care activities and maintain communication with other team members including the agency, pharmacist, and physician.Educate the patient/family about care needs and disease preventionFollow appropriate infection control measuresMaintain accurate and timely recordsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Current unencumbered RN license in the state of FloridaStrong skills when it comes to organization and prioritizationExperience with IV insertion, PICC lines, Port-A-Cath care, and dressing changesInfusion, wound care and/or assessment experience is requiredKnowledge of medications, indications, dosage ranges, side effects, and potential toxicitiesAbility to troubleshoot problems that arise in IV therapyExceptional standards of patient communication and careProficient computer skills in Windows, Excel, and other related software including medical chartingAbility to work accurately and quickly under pressureMaintains continuing education in fields of nursing and infusion therapyCurrent CPR certificationCurrent Florida driver's license, active insurance, and reliable vehicleAt least 1 year of recent medical surgical, home health, procedural, or critical care experienceFlexibility to complete as many or as few patient visits as needed for the business requirements at that time.Our recruiter will review your application and reach out if you are qualified.
