Work Environment

The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours of commitment per week from Monday through Friday, with the workday concluding at 5:00 PM. This onsite role places you within our vibrant hospital environment, where you will work alongside five Medical Doctors and five Nurse Practitioners, engaging collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories effectively.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to aid in a comprehensive assessment of health conditions.
• Diagnose health issues and establish treatment plans for both chronic and infectious diseases, while considering patient preferences and values.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment programs with a focus on optimizing medication therapy plans and adhering to safety regulations.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions and health assessments using our advanced electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Communicate health information, treatment plans, and preventative care strategies to patients and their families with clarity and compassion.
• Educate patients on health topics related to disease prevention and wellness, encouraging proactive health management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to oversee and coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to remain updated with advancements in the medical field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings such as hospitals, urgent care, or primary care.
• Current California State Physician Assistant license.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) is mandatory.
• A DEA number is required for prescribing controlled substances.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team and exhibit a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple patients efficiently while providing high-quality care.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in primary care practices is essential, along with familiarity with acute care and chronic illness management.

Compensation and Benefits
