Health First Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Surgical Center in Cedar Park, Texas. Our Surgical Center in Cedar Park is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a diverse team of medical professionals, including five MDs and five Nurse Practitioners. Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position, requiring 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, you will experience a fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are paramount to achieving the best patient outcomes. Our Surgical Center is strategically located in Cedar Park, providing convenient access for the local community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Health First Medical Center, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and thorough evaluations of patients.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosing health conditions.
• Developing treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribed medications as necessary.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Informing and educating patients about their health conditions, prescribed treatments, and preventive measures.
• Engaging patients and their families in discussions about disease prevention and health promotion.
• Staying current with medical practices and advancements in healthcare through continuous education and research.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be primarily interacting with patients seeking surgical interventions and follow-up care. You will focus on a diverse patient population—from post-operative recovery to those coming in for pre-operative evaluations. Maintaining the highest standards of care and exhibiting sensitivity to the unique needs of each patient will be critical to your success. You should have robust experience in primary care settings, with specific training in areas such as acute care and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and possession of a valid Texas State Physician Assistant license.
• A current DEA number.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting, ideally within surgical or primary care.
• Proven skills in clinical assessment and diagnosis, with a commitment to patient education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• A team-oriented mindset complemented by a proactive, patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Bilingual proficiency to better serve our diverse patient population.
• Experience working in a surgical center or emergency department.
• Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in their use.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
