Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans for clients.
• Provide a range of therapeutic services, offering evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Engage with clients in one-on-one therapy sessions, as well as group and family therapy settings, to address their unique mental health needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and holistic client care, maintaining open lines of communication regarding treatment progress and adjustments.
• Document clinical interactions accurately and in a timely manner, complying with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training workshops to stay current with advancements in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse population, including individuals and families from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. Our clients may be dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. Your compassionate approach will be essential in building trust and rapport with this population.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or community-based setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in therapeutic practices, along with a solid understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A proven ability to work effectively within a healthcare team, fostering collaboration and integrated care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies is essential for efficient documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous specialization or advanced training in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing evidence-based practices and adapting interventions to meet individual client needs.
• Active participation in professional organizations and peer supervision groups.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and client caseload.
