Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, allowing clients to gain insights and develop coping strategies in a supportive environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops and training programs focusing on the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse population, primarily focusing on individuals and families with limited access to mental health care. You will work with clients facing a wide array of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. This position requires an understanding of the unique barriers that many of our clients experience, as well as a commitment to fostering personal development and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or community-based setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and related technologies to streamline workflow and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive client care.
• Knowledge of community resources for mental health services and referrals.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additionally, employees receive comprehensive benefits, including:
