Shape Commercial Strategy Across Industrial Verticals

Picture your week: you’re aligning a go-to-market plan with Operations and Engineering in the morning, coaching two Account Managers over focused 1:1s after lunch, and closing the day reviewing CRM pipeline health with your Inside Sales Representative. As the Strategic Sales Manager, Industrial Markets, you’ll steer revenue growth, expand market share, and deepen customer relationships while overseeing both sales and marketing initiatives.

Your Team and Partnerships

• Lead a compact, high-impact team: two Account Managers and one Inside Sales Representative.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing/Production, and Customer Service to deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.

What You’ll Drive Leadership

• Coach weekly in dedicated one-on-one sessions; set clear performance goals and development plans.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and cultivate a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer-first thinking.
• Strengthen the partnership between Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Production.

Sales Strategy

• Build and execute annual sales plans aligned with company revenue objectives.
• Design territory and account strategies grounded in market intelligence.
• Identify growth in current markets and break into new industries.
• Develop forecasts and pipeline reports; analyze trends, competitors, and customer requirements.
• Establish pricing approaches that balance profitability and competitiveness.

Account Management

• Maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers.
• Support complex deal negotiations and attend customer visits as needed.
• Resolve escalations, boost retention, and increase repeat business.

Business Development

• Source, qualify, and win new business; develop strategic partnerships.
• Grow product penetration within existing accounts.
• Own annual new-customer acquisition plans.
• Represent the company at trade shows and networking events.
• Spot opportunities across food processing, pharmaceutical, medical device, packaging, and broader industrial manufacturing markets.

Sales Operations

• Safeguard CRM data integrity; review pipeline weekly.
• Define KPIs for each seller and analyze win/loss outcomes.
• Lift quote conversion rates and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries and quotes.

Marketing Leadership

• Guide branding, website content, digital programs, email campaigns, and social strategy.
• Plan and optimize trade show participation.
