Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker- Extra Help Position

Part-Time Variable Hours Weekdays and Occasional Weekends (20 -25 hours/week) Apply immediately. Open until filled Part Time Seasonal Worker needed to assist utility field operations within the Public Works Department. Position will be assigned to work in the Wastewater Division. Maintenance may include but not limited to the following:

• Weed and brush abatement.
• Minor painting of facilities, piping/appurtenances and hydrants.
• Manual labor activities; digging and lifting of heavy objects.
• General site maintenance at pumping and treatment facilities.
• Position within Wastewater may receive OIT contact hours.

Must possess mobility to work in the field; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to climb and descend ladders, to operate varied hand and power tools and to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Must also possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing between 25 – 50 pounds. Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. College level coursework related to wastewater treatment is preferred.
