Welder IICompany: RSA Engineered Products, LLCPrimary Location: 110 West Cochran Street, Unit A, Simi Valley, CA 93065 USAEmployment Type: Hourly | Full-TimeFunction: Manufacturing Production / DistributionEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrincipal ResponsibilitiesIn this position you must be able to align and fit together fabricated plates, structural shapes and weldments preparatory to assembly - structural fabricated products and must be able to weld different metals to blue print.DutiesIndividual must maintain their certification stampsMust be able to weld all materials to X-Ray specificationsMust possess the ability to work to close tolerancesMust be able to work to standards within operations and have the ability to make shop aids to increase production standard, if neededMust be able to build ducts without supervisor's assistanceMust be capable of training other employeesMust be responsible for quality of workmanshipMust be able and willing to perform all duties of lesser classifications in both the welding and fitting disciplinesPrepare and fit both compound and complex duct assembliesCleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.Performs other routine dutiesMust be certified in accordance with 10QP040Record SPC data in accordance with 10QP063Certified to Stainless, Inconel, and Titanium. With Fitting capabilitiesAnd other duties as assignedMinimum Education/Experience3 years exposure in metal fitting as a Fitter "A" and necessary training to qualify for welding parameters and or 3 years experience as a Welder with fitter training. Must past a written and practical test. Test will be based on requirements contained within this job description.Must have Aerospace experienceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as Blueprints, manufacturing planning, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to communicate in the English language.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Certification stamps in both welding and fitting a must.Essential Physical/Mental Abilities Required:Employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, required to walk and sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear, and climb and dismount both stairs and platforms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job, the individual occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
