CTR Group is seeking experienced Marine Designers - Piping or HVAC, in the Hampton, Virginia area for a long-term government project!
Pay Range: $35 - $50 per Hour Plus Benefits.
JOB DUTIES:
- Use CAD system to develop initial 3D solid model of mechanical components and assemblies
- Provides CAD models in appropriate form for use by Analysis personnel at various stages of the design development
- Work closely with Engineering and Program Management personnel to refine design, solve problems, explore alternate approaches, etc.
- Interact with Fabrication personnel to ensure manufacturability of design and with Programming personnel to ensure content of solid model for programming activities
- Identify/select standard components for use in the design
Qualifications & Preferred Education/Experience:
- Associates Degree in related discipline
- 3+ years of related discipline; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to above
- Design experience of Piping systems
- Navy Surface Ship Design experience
- Shipchecks experience
- Self-starter, able to work on multiple projects, and prioritize workload
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must hold a DoD Secret clearance
