Corporate Compliance & Ethics Expert - (Director/Analyst, Fully Remote United States)

About the role Gartner is seeking a Corporate Compliance and Ethics Expert (Director/Analyst). This role provides critical insights on executive‑level priorities for a broad range of global organizations. The Analyst will author practical research for Gartner clients and serve as a trusted advisor through complex client challenges, offering appropriate recommendations. Key Responsibilities Author research for publication and support client conversations on transforming and optimizing compliance functions and programs keeping pace with and understanding the impact of complex, changing regulatory environments on organizations’ business models and processes developing risk strategies and frameworks for compliance and regulatory risks leveraging data analytics to optimize compliance risk assessments and compliance monitoring Engage with clients daily via phone, video conferences, and at Gartner events Create insightful and actionable research for Chief Compliance Officers that differentiates from external sources Stay ahead of developments within specified areas by understanding the broader ecosystem, partnering with internal experts, and learning from clients’ best practices Maintain Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by thoughtfully responding to press inquiries when required Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory experience, most recently as deputy, divisional chief compliance officer, or senior compliance leader Bachelor’s degree (preferably in economics, business, or international studies) or equivalent experience; post‑graduate law or economics degree preferred Experience advising leadership or board on compliance priorities and providing actionable recommendations Integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence into executive‑ready narratives Cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, ERM, Finance, or Internal Audit Conducting compliance risk assessments and reporting Monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes to ensure timely adaptation of internal policies and procedures Supporting corporate governance initiatives to remain aligned with compliance standards and expectations Designing, implementing, and enhancing enterprise compliance frameworks, including policies, training, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to different audiences Executive presence; ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders immediately Ability to navigate and thrive in a highly matrixed work environment Willingness to offer flexible working hours within reason to serve Gartner’s global client base Ability to travel on occasion for team offsites and Gartner conferences (less than 10% of the year) Benefits Gartner offers world‑class benefits, highly competitive compensation, generous PTO, a 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, company stock purchase at a discount, and more. Salary for this role ranges from $148,000 to $175,500 USD, with an annual bonus plan or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
