Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Insurance

Location: Patchogue, NY (On-site preferred; Hybrid options considered)

Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 / year (Commensurate with experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports the Commercial Lines team by performing critical clerical, technical, and administrative tasks required to maintain commercial insurance accounts. This role focuses on daily client servicing, precise data entry, and document preparation for accounts across various industries, including Construction, Warehouses, Habitation, and Entertainment.

Core Responsibilities:

·        Document Preparation: Generate, issue, and distribute certificates of insurance, binders, ID cards, and cancellation notices accurately and timely.

·        Policy Administration: Perform detailed policy checking against carrier quotes and binders to ensure coverage accuracy.

·        Account Processing: Process and input policy adjustments into the agency management system, including endorsements, policy renewals, and account changes.

·        Financial Processing: Execute invoicing for new business, renewals, and endorsements according to agency procedures.

·        Client Servicing: Handle daily customer service inquiries, assist with routine account questions, and route complex requests to Account Executives.

Qualifications & Skills:

·        Experience: 1–3 years of administrative or customer service experience, preferably within an insurance agency environment.

·        Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with data entry, agency management systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

·        Attention to Detail: High accuracy in processing legal and financial insurance documentation.

·        Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for daily client interaction.

·        Education/Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
