VP of Finance | PE-Backed Services Platform

Location:

Southeast U.S. (Preference for candidates located within a reasonable travel distance to Atlanta)

Our client is a rapidly growing,private equity-backed multi-entity services organizationfocused on scaling through acquisitions and operational excellence. The organization is building out its finance infrastructure and seeking a hands-on VP of Finance to help lead financial operations, integrations, reporting, and strategic growth initiatives across multiple business units.

This is a highly visible role partnering directly with executive leadership and ownership. The position offers the opportunity to build processes, drive operational improvements, support acquisitions and integrations, and help scale a growing platform organization. The company is seeking someone who can operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This role has strong long-term growth potential and may evolve into a broader finance leadership opportunity over time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Lead core accounting and finance operations across multiple operating entities
• Oversee monthly close, consolidations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and KPI analysis
• Develop and enhance reporting processes, dashboards, and operational metrics
• Partner with leadership teams to evaluate financial performance and operational trends

Operational Finance & Process Improvement

• Standardize accounting processes, controls, and reporting across acquired entities
• Drive process improvements around cash management, working capital, and operational efficiency
• Assist with transitioning acquired businesses from cash-basis to accrual accounting where needed
• Evaluate financial and operational workflows to identify opportunities for scalability and automation
• Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting infrastructure

Acquisitions & Integrations

• Lead financial onboarding and integration efforts for newly acquired companies
• Support post-acquisition consolidations, chart of accounts alignment, and reporting standardization
• Partner with operational leadership to ensure smooth financial integration of acquired businesses
• Assist with lender reporting, compliance, and acquisition-related financial analysis

Leadership & Business Partnership

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership and operational leaders
• Mentor and develop lean but high-performing accounting and finance teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership teams to support growth initiatives
• Help establish financial discipline and KPI-driven decision-making throughout the organization

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Strong operational finance and accounting background within multi-entity environments
• Experience with consolidations, integrations, and scaling finance processes
• Strong understanding of monthly close, financial reporting, and KPI analysis
• Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisition-heavy environments
• Ability to operate in both strategic and hands-on capacities
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to partner across the organization

 

Preferred Experience

• Home services, field services, construction, industrial services, or related multi-location industries
• Experience supporting acquisitions and post-merger integrations
• Experience within rapidly growing or roll-up organizations
• Big 4 foundation or public accounting background
• Experience with ERP/accounting system implementations or upgrades
