The Role \n

\n

In this role, you’ll be a generalist owner across the full stack, working on backend services, API integrations, client-facing product experiences, infrastructure, and the systems that connect them. You’ll have meaningful influence over technical direction, product decisions, and the evolution of engineering practices as Braided grows.

You will not simply be handed a queue of predefined tickets. You’ll identify problems, shape solutions, and ship work that directly improves how our customers operate. You’ll collaborate closely with product, leadership, and customers to understand complex workflows, translate real-world needs into technical requirements, and communicate clearly about what we are building and why.

What You’ll Own \n

\n

Client Integrations

\n

You’ll design, build, and maintain integrations with the systems behavioral health operators rely on every day, including EHR platforms like KIPU, Sunwave, Alleva, Lightning Step, CRMs, billing systems, and other third-party APIs. Your work will help turn fragmented tools into connected, reliable workflows.

Workflow Automation

\n

You’ll extend and improve Braided’s core automation platform, including event-driven workflows, data transformations, scheduling, routing logic, monitoring, and error handling. You’ll help make complex operational processes feel simple, dependable, and scalable.

\n

\n

New Product Experiences

\n

As Braided expands into new product lines, you’ll help build the interfaces and tooling that support them. This may include internal tools, client portals, configuration UIs, and other product surfaces that make our platform easier to use and more powerful for customers.

Infrastructure and Reliability

\n

You’ll help own the cloud infrastructure behind Braided, including AWS, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, observability, reliability, and security. You’ll play a key role in making sure the platform is stable, secure, and ready to scale.

Security and Compliance

\n

You’ll help maintain and strengthen our security and compliance practices as we handle sensitive protected health information across client systems. You’ll contribute to a platform customers can trust in a high-stakes healthcare environment.

Client-Facing Technical Support

\n

You’ll serve as a technical partner during onboarding and integration setup, helping diagnose issues, explain technical decisions clearly, and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to get customers live successfully.

\n

Architecture and Scale

\n

You’ll contribute meaningfully to how we structure the codebase, design systems, approach scalability, and prepare the platform for its next phase of growth.

What We’re Looking For \n

\n

Technical

\n

\n

Full-Stack Engineering Experience

\n

You have 5 to 7+ years of professional software development experience and are comfortable working across the full stack, from backend systems and infrastructure to practical frontend interfaces.

\n

\n

PHP and Laravel Expertise

\n

You have strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel, with the ability to design, build, maintain, and improve production systems. Experience with other backend frameworks is a plus.

\n

\n

API and Integration Experience

\n

You have experience building and consuming REST APIs, working with webhooks, and integrating with third-party platforms. You can reason through messy external systems and turn them into reliable, maintainable workflows.

\n

\n

Frontend Fluency

\n

You have enough frontend experience with React, Vue, Livewire, or similar tools to build functional, user-friendly internal tools and product surfaces when needed.

\n

\n

Cloud Infrastructure

\n

You have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, including services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, or comparable technologies.

\n

\n

DevOps and Deployment

\n

You are comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, deployment automation, and the operational practices needed to ship software safely and reliably.

\n
