Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) - Located in Independence, IA

Located in Independence, IA. We’re hiring part‑time Emergency Medical Vehicle Operators (EMVO) to respond to emergency and/or non‑emergency transportation requests and deliver high‑quality care and customer service. Responsibilities Respond to operation and dispatch requests, using tools, maps, and addresses to transport customers efficiently. Clearly document trip information, adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality and patient rights. Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager. Use appropriate communication methods, including standard radio transmission codes, to respond, route patients, and comply with company information‑security standards. Operate transportation equipment such as stretchers, hydraulic lifts, and wheelchairs; use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public‑safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team. Qualifications State Driver’s License. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). CPR card. Driving record in compliance with company policy. Pass Physical Agility Test. Some work experience, preferably in healthcare. Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour.
