HVAC Technician

Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Technician to join our Facilities/Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across district facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The HVAC Technician will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations and industry standards.


Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of parts used.
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding HVAC installations and repairs.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding HVAC installations and repairs.
• Order parts, supplies and equipment from industrial catalogs and suppliers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in HVAC technology preferred.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of HVAC Systems.
• Experience with all types of combustion controls and boilers.
• EPA Section 608 Technician certifications Type I and II.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure; to perform the four operations with like or common decimal fractions; to compute ratio and proportion, and percentage; to calculate surfaces, volume, weights, and measures.
