Med-Surg Registered Nurse

Location: Savannah, GA Pay Range: $28-43/hr

Job Overview: As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse, you will collaborate closely with patients, their families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while contributing to the overall success of the nursing department. You will play a critical role in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care and assume responsibility for a group of assigned patients.
• Oversee the smooth progression of patient care, including initial screenings, exams, and preparations for procedures, while ensuring comfort and support.
• Coordinate patient admissions, tests, and discharges, ensuring continuity and accuracy.
• Keep thorough and up-to-date documentation of patient records, including test results and medical exams.
• Administer medications following physician directives and nursing best practices.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up care to promote informed decision-making and optimal recovery.
• Address and direct patient and family inquiries, including providing phone triage as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or Nursing Diploma required.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred.
