Purchasing/Materials Manager

Compunetics is seeking an individual to plan, direct, and coordinate the procurement, inventory, and movement of materials to support organizational operations.Responsibilities: Prepare RFQs and Purchase Orders and submit to suppliersSource and develop new suppliersNegotiate pricesCollaborate with approved suppliers for best price, quality and deliveryLiaise between suppliers, customers and internal account management, planning and productionCoordinate semi-annual uniform ordersMaintain departmental work instructionsMaintain daily inventory daily cycle countsSupervise and oversee the Shipping/Receiving DepartmentRequirements: Bachelor – Supply Chain Management or Business3-5 years experience purchasing/supply chain management at a manufacturing facilityIndustrial materials, chemicals, laminates and other raw material procurement experience preferredPrinted Circuit Board experience a plusUnderstanding of ERP, planning, expediting and inventory control processes in a production environmentSolid interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking skills requiredSome supervision or team leadership experience desiredWe offer competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
