Dental Assistant (Part-Time)

Dental Assistant At Mentor Smiles, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a friendly, professional, and team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and enjoys working closely with both patients and team members to create a positive dental experience. Schedule Part-Time Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments before and after patient appointments Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, and other treatments Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations Set up and organize instruments, materials, and equipment needed for patient care Review and update patient health histories and clinical records Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment recommendations, and post-operative care instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control protocols Stock operatories and monitor clinical supply inventory Provide exceptional customer service and help ensure a positive patient experience Assist with additional duties as assigned by the dentist or practice leadership Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Dental Assistant certification, registration, or licensure as required by state law Current radiography certification preferred Current CPR/BLS certification preferred Previous dental assisting experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care Why Join Mentor Smiles?
