Schedule: Day shift ; 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

OR Suites: 12

Average Daily Case Volume: 25–30 cases per day

Primary Case Types: General Surgery and Orthopedics

Additional Service Lines:

o Plastics

o Neuro

o Vascular

o ENT

o GYN

o Urology

o GI

o Pain Management

o Cardiac

o Thoracic

o Vascular hybrid cases

o Podiatry

OR RNs are expected to:

• Take call
• Support multiple service lines as needed
• Maintain a strong foundational OR skill set to safely support a variety of case types
• OR RNs will not be expected to assist in other departments unless they have prior experience

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

Candidates should have:

• Recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
• Strong admission and discharge experience
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with varied specialties
• Prior travel experience is not required, but highly preferred.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
